I feel like I should be sleeping, but sentimental melodies encourage me to write and reflect. Too bad the there’s lyric in the song! Who is still on this site anyway? Life provides us with the opportunity to take unexpected turns. I don’t think we appreciate these unexpected opportunities until we go till the very end, and found out what we have learned in the process. The feeling of being fearful and scare is natural. You never know quite if you recover or fall taking this new path, but I do believe we often underestimate what our body and mind are capable of. During the past year I experienced some of my happiest and saddest moments. I look back and smile. I didn’t think I realize I can thrive in such extremes, but I did and I know can now. It wasn’t a choice or maybe there was a choice that I refuse to acknowledge. It comes with the territory. I do want love and passion in my life and that’s the choice. Most of the time I’m so bubbly that I can’t even keep in if I want to.

This is perhaps a kind reminder to always follow your heart, no matter what it is in life, it will be worth it. I realize it’s hard. At least for me when I set forth in that path. So hard that I get frustrated with myself so many times in the process. There were so many confusions. Half the time I don’t even know why. It’s similar to training. One you start to embrace what your heart is telling you in one part of your life, you can start applying to the other areas, but it’s a new battle everytime.

It makes me sad when I speak to some of my friends, and I realize they are losing their way already. I only hope they will have the courage to stop and uncover what their heart is telling them. To start turning stones around and discover the beauty underneath. You are not going to find a gem in all of them, but they are all unique and beautiful in their own way. I personally like the ones close to the waves! They probably haven't been discover yet :)

Risks
To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk being called sentimental.
To reach out to another is to risk involvement.
To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas, your dreams before the crowd is to risk being called naive.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To hope is to risk despair, and to try is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken because the greastest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, and becomes nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn and feel and change and grow and love and live.
Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave, he's forfeited his freedom.
Only the person who risks is truly free.

"Risk more than others think is safe. Care more than others think is wise. Dream more than others think is practical. Expect more than others think is possible."

-Claude Bissell

I love that quote, but it's kinda of overwhelming me now.

Argh.. I'm disgusted with the election process. 8 precincts didn't record their write in results for the contested state senate race. What were they thinking?!?! I'm sure all the write in ballots fell into the "problematic" bin of the voting machine. Someone probably fell asleep at training or they were probably newbies. That probably made all the difference considering Wilkerson won by a mere 2% of the votes or 141 votes, which is within the margin of error. Ha Wilkerson is celebrating way too soon. It's rather idiotic of her to declare her victory so soon. Probably trying to save face after failing to get the required 300 signatures to be included on the ballot. Someone who takes her constituents for granted deserves to be kicked off.

BTW I still hate the new machines. I wonder how much they cost. Funny thing is some folks expected the old style and we are like...ehh we got rid of those a few years ago.

I'm happy to hear that Samiyah Diaz received the least amount of votes. She deserved that after her unethical tactic.
